Last weekend, we once again celebrated our traditional Kerwe together in Lohnsfeld - and with great success! We ate, drank, laughed and celebrated in a great atmosphere with a varied program. Musical entertainment was provided as well as food and drink. It was a wonderful weekend full of encounters, conversations and happy moments - just as a successful Kerwe should be.
However, a festival like this doesn't just thrive on a good atmosphere, but above all on the people who work tirelessly in the background to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Whether it's setting up, organizing, working at the barbecue, at the bar, looking after the children or clearing up - without the commitment of our many volunteers, a festival like this would not be possible.
That's why I would like to express my special thanks to everyone who actively helped out before, during and after the Kerwe. Your commitment is priceless and the real reason why the Kerwe in Lohnsfeld is not just a tradition, but a real community experience.
As a small token of appreciation, we met on Friday, August 1 - one week after the Kerwe - for a helpers' party. In a relaxed atmosphere, we were able to look back on the successful weekend, eat, drink and chat together. This was also a good example of how strong the cohesion in our community is.
I am already looking forward to next year's Kerwe - and hope that we can count on so many dedicated helpers again.
Thank you very much and see you soon!
